The Chris Evert rose produces large, beautifully formed blooms in a vivid blend of melon-orange and golden yellow, with petals dramatically brushed in scarlet along their edges. Its classic hybrid tea flowers appear on long stems ideal for cutting, while a light fruity fragrance complements their warm, luminous coloring.

Created by American rose breeder Tom Carruth, this bi-color hybrid tea rose was personally selected by tennis legend Chris Evert; it was named in her honor shortly after her induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Its rich cantaloupe coloring and contrasting red edges make it a distinctive and memorable variety, well suited to bear the name of one of America’s most celebrated athletes.

Known for her exceptional composure, powerful two-handed backhand, and remarkable consistency, she won 18 Grand Slam singles championships—including a record seven French Open titles—and became the first player ranked world No. 1 under the WTA’s computerized ranking system.
