The Midas Touch rose produces brilliant golden-yellow blooms with the elegant, high-centered form of a classic hybrid tea. Bred by American rose hybridizer Jack E. Christensen, it received the prestigious All-America Rose Selections award in 1994.
The name Midas Touch comes from the ancient Greek legend of King Midas, who was granted the power to turn everything he touched into gold. What first seemed like an extraordinary gift soon became a curse when even his food and drink were transformed by his touch. With blossoms that appear almost as though they themselves have been turned to gold, the brilliant yellow Midas Touch rose makes a particularly fitting reference to the famous myth.
